Edwin Clark: Naming train station after Jonathan is humiliating

Chief Edwin Clark has condemned the naming of a train station after ex-President Jonathan. In an open letter, Clark told transport minister Amaechi that the honour diminished the status of a former president.

The elder statesman said he added his voice to those asking that a befitting national infrastructure should be named after ex-President Jonathan.

Elder statesman, Chief Edwin Clark, has condemned the naming of Agbor railway station by the federal government after former President Goodluck Jonathan. Chief Clark said such honour diminished the status of a former president.

According to him, naming the railway station in Agbor, Delta state, ‘Goodluck Jonathan Railway Station and Complex’, is a misnomer.
